About Cyferfontein

Mabalingwe’s western reserve

Cyferfontein is a 3 500 hectare malaria-free reserve situated in the west of The Mabalingwe Nature Reserve. It's home to abundant species of game. Various antelope, from impala, waterbuck and eland to kudu, nyala and klipspringer can be seen, along with zebra, giraffe and warthog. And if you keep a careful eye out, the elusive leopard can sometimes be spotted in broad daylight. Cyferfontein boasts an array of bird life, from birds of prey and water birds to the ostrich, which is a frequent sight in the reserve.

Cyferfontein is hot in summer, with many young animals. In winter, it cools down and the bush thins out making it ideal for game viewing.
