Cyferfontein is a special destination. This beautiful 3 500 hectare farm is nestled in the foothills of the Waterberg mountains in the Mabalingwe Nature Reserve, one of the most breathtaking malaria-free bushveld regions of South Africa. Mabalingwe, derived from Tshwane, meaning “spots of the leopard”, started out as a 2 100-hectare maize and game farm in 1972, and over time has grown into a 12 000 hectare nature reserve with abundant game.
